The eighth game of the iDOLM@STER franchise, released on October 25, 2012 (PlayStation Portable), under The iDOLM@STER 2nd Vision label. The game is a rythm game, in that the player presses buttons in time with notes that scroll on the game screen (similar to Hatsune Miku: Project Diva gameplay).
The series comprises three different games, each one having different name and content. In Honey Sound version the player can play as Haruka, Chihaya, Azusa and Ritsuko. In Funky Note version the player can play as Yayoi, Hibiki, Iori, Mami and Ami. In Groovy Tune version the player can play as Miki, Yukiho, Makoto and Takane.
The main objective of the game is win the "Star of Festa" ("SOF") idol contest.
In order to win, you'll need to score 100,000 FESTA POINTS by the end of 5 Days. Each day consists of 3 songs played consecutively, with the third song being against another idol.
You can play against many of Cinderella Girls idols.
Every song has 2 PVs, and the player can choose which one will be played as background.
"Kirameki☆Meter" is the system who can change the background video in the middle of the play, so if you can rack up combos, "Kirameki☆Meter" will be filled and the player can activate "Shining Burst", who changes the background and bring meaningful moments of iDOLM@STER characters plots.
The game will have exclusive songs and will be released with 3 bundled episodes of the anime series. Each version will have an different episode.
